In addition to Lodge meetings, we believe in involving families and friends in activities that range from get-togethers after meetings to fundraising for a variety of worthwhile causes. Should you wish to find out more please contact the Lodge Secretary.
Freemasonry in Cairns dates back to 1885. By the mid-1920s Allan Lodge was one of six that were meeting in Cairns. The District Grand Lodge of Carpentaria was formed three years after Allan Lodge.
We meet at the Cairns Masonic Temple, which was built in 1935. Our Lodge is proud to be part of a strong and active Masonic community in Cairns.
Our regular monthly meetings are on the 4th Monday of the month at 7:30pm. We also have an annual meeting where the new Master and officers are invested for the following 12 months. The next one will be on Saturday 11th March 2017.
Freemasons are a diverse group of men from all walks of life, from many religions and many backgrounds. Becoming a Freemason is a commitment to develop your own potential, to values that see all humankind as equal, and to helping others in our community.
